MY SHINING LIGHT

If only I could hold you,

If I could only see you smile,

If I could only hear your laughter

Just for a little while.

For your life was my example,

Your being a shining light

Which continues to glow

Within my heart

Even though

Now hid from sight.

But i had to bid farewell to you.

I had to let you go,

Into the safety of

Our Heavenly Father’s arms

Until that moment

We meet once more
