PERFECT LOVE

Perfect Love casts out every fear.

Perfect Love walked this earth

Unknown,

Unrecognised,

Betrayed,

Giving all yet receiving nothing.

Persecuted,

Tormented,

Tortured

For a people,

For a creation who knew Him not,

Yet!

That Perfect Love comes still

To a people who spurn Him,

Turn their backs on Him,

Reject Him.

That Perfect Love,

That Unchanging Love

Would come

To an imperfect people

Lost in sin,

Lost in the depths of despair.

Caught up in the rituals of life

Where broken vessels,

Discarded,

Rejected,

Lie crumbling upon the wreckage of a tortured world,

Entrapped within the wheels of life which forever turn

Endlessly whirring day by day

Round and round

Worthlessly rotating

As each moment we perform,

Living out a fantasy upon this plateau of no hope

But still that Perfect Love

Would knock gently at the hearts door,

Calling to imperfect man

‘Won’t you receive My gift unto you?

For ‘tis a perfect gift,

For I would give unto you

The gift of Hope,

The gift of Life,

The gift which I alone can bestow upon you.

My gift bought for you.

My gift now presented to you.

MY GIFT

of

PERFECT LOVE
